Alia Zaki Alia with children at the Selfridges store in London. L'alingi display, with clutches, on the backgound

FOUNDED, DIRECTED AND DESIGNED BY ALIA ZAKI ALI – THIS IS L’ALINGI’S STORY.

Alia has always been enthusiastic about creating an accessories brand that challenges the status quo by transforming a conventional staple item into a dazzling and unique statement piece.

Alia grew up in both the U.S. and Beirut, Lebanon, studying Graphic Design and working for advertising company Leo Burnett as well as other graphic design firms. After getting married, moving to London and factory hunting in Europe and the Middle East, Alia was finally able to bring her ideas to life and launched L’alingi in 2017 where the birth of L'alingi and her two children all began.

In April 2021 Alia was listed on Forbes  "30 Under 30" as one of Europe’s talents to watch.

L’ALINGI PIECES ARE INTRICATELY HANDMADE IN LEBANON AND ITALY. THE BRAND’S DESIGN IS QUIRKY YET FEMININELY REFINED, PASSIONATELY CREATED AND CRAFTED TO THE HIGHEST CALIBRE.

Intended to unleash the child within through its unconventional and radically challenging design, L’alingi seamlessly blends mundane objects with luxurious items to transform the common clutch into a vibrant work of art.

Inspired by the exponential Japanese fake-food movement, the first collection combined food with fashion in a revolutionary fusion of pioneering design. Since our first collection, we have introduced cutting-edge materials and the intricate art of mimicking real food and confectionary. The powerful effect of food and fashion joint together clearly demonstrate why they are consistently the two reigning themes of the social media monarchy. L’alingi supports the use of unconventional material and fully embraces newness whilst maintaining its roots in the ‘luxury can still be fun and individualistic’ movement’
