our story

Founded, directed, and designed by Alia Zaki Ali, this is the story of L’ALINGI. 

From the outset, Alia set out to challenge the status quo of accessories, reimagining a familiar staple as a bold statement piece and a wearable work of art. L’ALINGI is not about recognition; it is about resonance.

Raised between the U.S. and Beirut, Alia studied Graphic Design and began her career in advertising. With no formal fashion training, she spent countless hours sketching ideas on the side, driven purely by instinct, curiosity, and a long-held desire to create her own fashion brand. Creativity was always her constant, and accessories became her chosen medium.

After marrying and relocating to London, Alia dedicated years to factory-hunting across Europe and the Middle East, immersing herself in craftsmanship and production. In 2017, she brought her vision to life with the launch of L’ALINGI, a defining year that also marked the birth of her two children.

In 2019, Alia designed the now-iconic Eternity Clutch, inspired by her own engagement ring. This moment cemented jewellery as a core source of inspiration for the brand, leading to best-selling styles such as the Taliya Clutch, Taliya Feather Pouch, and Love Clutch.

In April 2021, Alia was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 as one of Europe’s talents to watch, and in 2024 she was honoured with the Emirates Women of the Year Award.

Today, L’ALINGI is internationally recognised for its distinctive statement shapes, glamorous crystals, playful use of colour, and luxurious materials, each piece designed to feel personal, expressive, and enduring.
